A phase III, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, Cardio-Vascular Outcomes Trial (CVOT) to evaluate the effect of an investigational medicine in combination with an approved medicine in participants with increased risk of developing heart failure.

Heart failure (HF) is a serious and progressive condition associated with frequent hospitalizations and high mortality rates.  There is an urgent need for treatment options to prevent development of HF, particularly in patients at high risk.

Who is at high risk for heart failure?

People with high blood sugar from diabetes, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease in combination live with extra strain on the heart and blood vessels leading to an increased risk of developing heart failure.

About This Study

This study aims to address the substantial medical need to prevent heart failure in individuals at increased risk of its development. There is no cost to participate. Participants receive no cost investigational medicine and no cost health exams. Insurance is not required to participate. Reimbursement for participants for time and travel up to $1,800.
