A phase 3, randomized, 6-Week, double-blind, placebo controlled trial of an investigational medicine in children aged 6 to <12 Years with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder affecting 11 percent of school-age children. Symptoms continue into adulthood in more than three-quarters of cases. ADHD is characterized by developmentally inappropriate levels of inattention, impulsivity and hyperactivity.
The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness of an investigational medicine compared with placebo for the treatment of ADHD in children aged 6 to < 12 years. There is a possibility of continuing the study for an additional year in an Open-Label study (no placebo).
Potential participants must be aged 6 to < 12 years, have a primary diagnosis of ADHD according to DSM-5 criteria, and must have a history of being able to swallow capsules with water.
There is no cost to participate. Volunteers receive no cost investigational medicine and no cost health exams. No insurance needed. Reimbursement for time and travel up is TBD.
