A phase 3, randomized, 6-Week, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of an investigational medicine in adolescents aged 12 to <18 Years with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder affecting 11 percent of school-age children. Symptoms continue into adulthood in more than three-quarters of cases. ADHD is characterized by developmentally inappropriate levels of inattention, impulsivity and hyperactivity.
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of an investigational medicine as compared to placebo for the treatment of ADHD in adolescents aged 12 to < 18 years, as measured by the Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder Rating Scale-5, Interview with Informant, Adolescent Version (ADHD-RS-5). There is a possibility of continuing the study for an additional year in an Open-Label study (no placebo).
Potential participants must be aged 12 to < 18 years, have a primary diagnosis of ADHD according to RS-5 criteria, and must have a history of being able to swallow capsules with water.
There is no cost to participate. Volunteers receive no cost investigational medicine and no cost health exams. No insurance needed. Reimbursement for time and travel up is TBD.
