This is an Double Blind, Vehicle Controlled Phase 3 Study of an Investigational Medicine for Molluscum Patients Ages 6 Months and Older.

Clinical Trial for Topical Treatment of Molluscum Contagiosum
Study Location(s): Owensboro and Bowling Green Kentucky, Evansville Indiana
Molluscum contagiosum is a highly contagious viral skin infection. Infection spreads easily by person-to-person contact. The infection causes round, flesh-colored, painless bumps on the skin, which vary in size. Molluscum contagiosum can resolves on its own given enough time. Although there are over-the-counter treatments, the FDA has approved none of them. Do to the high rate of person to person infection, a safe and effective therapy would be advantageous. This is a double-blind, vehicle-controlled, phase 3 study of an investigational medicine for patients with Molluscum contagiosum ages 6 months and older (infants, children, adolescents and adults). This is a 24 week study. Sibling groups can participate.
There is no cost to participate. Volunteers receive free investigational medicine and follow-up care. No insurance needed. Time and travel reimbursement up to $645 may be available.
